I am interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying local activation of transcription factors at synapses and how they are transported from the synapse to the nucleus upon stimulation of glutamate receptors. My research focus is to understand whether and how derangement of this biological processes leads to neurodegeneration, particularly in the context of Huntington's disease.
